FAQ’s

Do you have public skating going on whenever you are open?

No, while we are open every day we only have public skating during certain designated times listed on our website.  So while our website and Google may list us as open that is not a guarantee that we will be offering public skating.  We host a lot of hockey, figure skating and learn to skate especially during the winter months.

I have never ice skated before. What do I need to bring?

The rink is kept at 55 degrees but it will feel cooler than that on the ice.  We recommend you dress in layers so if you get warm while skating you can take some layers off.  We also recommend long socks and gloves.  We also encourage personal protective equipment such as helmets and elbow pads.

Can I bring in food?

We offer a full concession stand with drinks, snacks, meals, and sweets. Therefore, we do not allow outside food to be brought in.

Can you accommodate large groups?

Yes, we can accommodate large groups! We have over 1,200 pairs of skates and our staff members can ensure that your group event runs smoothly.

I have young children. Do you have anything to help them learn?

We do have skate aids for kids to help them balance on the ice.

I would feel more comfortable helping my kids on the ice if I were wearing my tennis shoes. Can I wear shoes on the ice instead of skates?

No. For safety and liability reasons, you must wear skates on the ice.

Do I have to pay if I only plan on watching my kids skate and I don’t get on the ice?

No. You only have to pay if you skate.

Do you have any skate aids for adults?

Our skate aids are designed for kids ages 3 – 8.  They are too short for an adult to use as an adult will have to bend over to use it.

I would like to have my kids learn how to skate. Do you offer classes?

Yes, we offer classes 6 days a week in the winter and 5 days a week in the spring, summer, and fall.  All classes are 45 minutes long and skates are included.

Do you offer any private skating lessons for hockey or figure skating?

Yes, we do!  Whether your goals are hockey, figure skating, or just recreational skating we have a coach that can help you achieve your goals.  Contact Brian @ 402-431-0335 ext. 201 and he can get you in touch with a coach.

I am new in town and I have played hockey in the past. Can you get me in touch with some of the adult hockey skates and leagues in town?
